I-495 Project
View allThis $1.48 billion (Cap Ex) 14-mile stretch of I-495 involved the replacement of aging infrastructure and 58 bridges and overpasses. It is the most significant package of improvements to the Capital Beltway. The construction costs have been funded by the Commonwealth’s General Obligation bond program, with bonds issued for the project in 2013, 2014 and 2015.
